Today we visit Córdoba and the Magnificent Mezquita. After a short orientation meeting, we take to the streets to see the one-time cultural capital of the Western World, Córdoba. Here our local guide will lead us through the fascinating Mezquita, started in the 8th century. Its mesmerizing forest of pillars capped with horseshoe arches and its uniquely integrated 16th-century cathedral create an unforgettable contrast.

The historic quarter of Córdoba, is a mesmerizing tapestry of centuries-old streets, adorned with a rich blend of Moorish, Christian, and Jewish influences. As you wander through its labyrinthine alleys, you’ll be transported back in time to the days when Córdoba was one of the most important cities in the world.

At the heart of the historic quarter lies the magnificent Mezquita-Catedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a testament to the city’s multicultural heritage. Originally a mosque built during the Islamic era, it was later converted into a cathedral, resulting in a unique architectural fusion that captivates visitors from around the globe.

Finally, The Roman Bridge of Córdoba is a captivating testament to the city’s rich history and architectural heritage. Dating back to the 1st century BC, this ancient bridge spans the Guadalquivir River, connecting the historic heart of Córdoba with the modern city.

Today, the it stands as an iconic symbol of Córdoba’s past, offering visitors a picturesque vantage point to admire the city’s skyline and the tranquil waters of the Guadalquivir. Framed by the majestic backdrop of the nearby Mezquita-Catedral and the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, the bridge exudes an aura of timeless elegance and historical significance.
