We are set up for Senior Pilgrims!
We like to make everyone who walks with us feel like a pampered pilgrim. Why not? After years of hard work, you’ve earned the right to appreciate life’s creature comforts. The landscapes may be stunning, the villages charming, and the camaraderie unexpected … but that doesn’t mean you aren’t tired after a long day on the trail. You want to take a hot shower, change into something more comfortable, and relax with a glass of wine before dinner.
Not at all. 70 is definitely not too old to walk the Camino de Santiago!
In fact, many pilgrims in their 70s (and even 80s) complete the Camino every year. With the right planning, pacing, and support, it can be a deeply rewarding experience. Seniors often approach the journey with more mindfulness, better pacing, and a greater appreciation for the cultural and spiritual aspects of the walk.
Choosing a tour with shorter daily distances, luggage transfers, and comfortable accommodations – like those offered by Fresco Tours – can make the experience both enjoyable and accessible.
Not at all. You don’t need to be an athlete to walk the Camino. Our tours are designed with comfort and accessibility in mind – especially for older adults. If you can walk for a couple of hours and gradually build up your stamina, you’re already on the right path. The journey is more about consistency and mindset than physical strength.
