I just returned from the Andalusian Affair tour…it was fantastic. For many years, I have dreamed of visiting Spain and learning more about its history, culture and people. This tour allowed me to do just that while being educated about Spain by the most marvelous tour guides on earth. An added plus was that the tour included multiple walks ranging from 4 to 7 miles which allowed us as a tour group to see the countryside and walk off the fantastic food and drink that we enjoyed. We had a fantastic self-guided walk on the Camino Frances by Fresco. The pre-trip support was great, the selected lodging was amazing and the in-trip logistical support was flawless. It allowed us to just focus on our pilgrimage and to be confident that everything would be all set at the end of the day.

We used to backpack a lot when we were younger, and the inn-to-inn travel is all the fun of traveling long distance on foot with the luxury of staying. In great hotels and having great food every night.

Fresco Tours delivered a flawless experience from start to finish. As I was going alone, I was researching the experience that fit my needs and found them. When I spoke to Cari I knew I needed to look no further. She helped in a timely manner with all stages of my planning; answering all my questions and addressing all my concerns including pre and post planning needs. providing tips and updated information throughout the entire process. This level of organization reassured me in my choosing Fresco Tours for this journey. The tour itself was an amazing experience. Our guides Sandra and David were professional, friendly, courteous, experienced, and knowledgeable. Both are passionate about what they do and it clearly shows! They paid attention to every detail to ensure every single one of us had their needs met. The hotels were great. From breakfast, to lunch and dinner the meals were delicious.  Sandra and David put in great effort preparing our pleasurable picnic lunches set in great locations along the way (…) I highly recommend Fresco Tours!

This was our second Camino with Fresco and it did not disappoint. It is a very smooth and comfortable way to walk this trail. Fresco delivers excellent value for your travel dollar. The guides are professional, accommodating and have interesting life experiences. The accommodations and meals are more than adequate.
We had 8 of us from the first Camino we did and it was great to reconnect with friends from all over the globe and meet some new ones.

I joined the Kinder, Gentler Camino tour, geared toward senior travelers on the Camino de Santiago, which involved hiking 100+ kilometers in 9 days. It was challenging, but a very satisfying experience, and the guides, fellow hikers and everyone at Fresco were wonderful. I would definitely recommend Fresco to anyone who wants to experience Spain in a unique way with walks in rural areas, lodging in historic buildings and fabulous food and wine.

Perfect Camino experience! I recently went on the Kinder/Gentler Camino Portuguese tour and highly recommend Fresco Tours. Our guides Sandra and Nagore were fantastic—always supportive but gave us plenty of independence to enjoy the walk. The food was fresh and always excellent (especially enjoyed the picnic lunches), the accommodations beautiful, and every detail perfectly organized. Thank you Fresco Tours!

Everything about our Camino adventure with Fresco Tours exceeded our expectations from the pre-trip planning to the farewell dinner.

I couldn’t wait to write this review- This was the trip of a lifetime for me. The Camino was a bucket list for 10+ years. Thank God, I booked it with Fresco. I can’t imagine a better experience. I can’t wait to go back next year with Fresco. The guides, the picnics, the lodging, the meetings and maps, the food and FUN! Best tour group I have ever used.

We just completed our Kinder and Gentler Camiño with our guide Miguel and it was a fabulous trip. I have to admit that when we were planning this trip with another couple, I was not convinced it was a smart thing to do at the end of July. But Miguel made it all work beautifully! He gave us directions for the next day, helped make sure we didn’t get lost, and tailored the walk each day to make sure we were done before the major heat of the day kicked in.

The food on our walk was amazing. Every day Miguel made a delicious picnic lunch for us and made sure we had our favorite drinks. And every night we ate (too much) at gourmet restaurants. Sad to say I think I gained weight on this trip.

I am not religious, but this became a very spiritual journey, waking up every day and accomplishing the walk. Much of the credit goes to Miguel. We were so lucky to have him as our guide.

We just completed the Kinder Portuguese Camino with our incomparable guide Miguel. There were just four in our group, which added to the special nature of the walk. It’s a beautiful route, yes, with hills, but Miguel planned the stages perfectly, both in terms of terrain and to avoid the hottest hours of the day. Miguel was truly a genius at preparing the most delicious and healthy lunches, which we looked forward to the entire morning of walking. He topped himself every day, including ice cream on the last day. The walkers who passed our lunch spot looked on with obvious envy at the bounty Miguel laid out on the table.

Miguel then arranged custom dinners with chefs in the towns we stayed in, which were meals of incredible variety, quality and taste. For all the walking I did, don’t think I lost a pound. We even stayed in a 16th Century Manor House with spectacular views of mountains and vineyards which was very special. And in each stop, he planned a tour of the local historical or religious sites, before settling into another fantastic dinner.

Miguel went above and beyond in making certain everyone’s needs and expectations were met and on top of that, he is a wonderful man, funny, smart, knowledgeable and became our friend on Day 1. This was our second Fresco experience and I cannot imagine using any other outfit if you are planning a Camino or Spain experience. Everything is first class from transportation, hotels, meals and tours. For us, Fresco has been a guaranteed “Buen Camino” experience. Gracias Fresco y Muchisimas Gracias por todo, Miguel.
