Excellent guides Ana and Jeffery. Everything was planned and coordinated well. They were both very knowledgeable and readily answered all questions.

Our guides Dani and David were knowledgeable, personable, and worked extremely hard. They made sure we had the best experience. The food and the lodgings were top flight. Walking the Camino itself was a truly captivating experience, and the guides and everyone associated with Fresco Tours only enhanced that experience. Can’t recommend enough.

What I appreciated most about the tour was the perfect balance between independence and support. I loved being able to explore at my own pace, knowing the team was always nearby and ready to assist if needed. This thoughtful approach made the trip feel both personal and seamless.

Hotels, they picked for us and foods offered at restaurants and hotels were amazing. They even had a birthday cake made for me just like the way my mom does. Whole crews’ attention to detail was impressive. A special thanks to Miguel, whose kindness and willingness to listen and adjust the tour to fit our group’s needs truly enhanced the experience. His flexibility and attention made us feel cared for throughout.

The preparation information, your willingness to create a hybrid program for us, and your company’s organization and responsiveness were all exceptional. And then the tour itself – Sandra was excellent on so many levels. 

She kept us organized, ensured everyone was making their way, and was a lovely, informative guide. I can’t imagine doing a camino without someone like Sandra. She made sure everyone had the extra support they needed — from ER visits to a van ride for someone unable to make complete of the hill days.

I just completed Fresco’s “Kinder, Gentler Camino” on the French Way, walking 7-11 miles per day. We walked the final 115km of the Camino Frances in shorter stages over about nine days rather than the usual seven days with longer distances (also available through Fresco). I am a reasonably fit 72-year old woman, and these shorter stages really worked for me. Our group ranged in age from 58 to nearly 80. The terrain is challenging if you are not used to hills, but our wonderful guides Hector and David, were encouraging and helpful. I cannot say enough about how wonderful my experience was with Fresco. We stayed in a reconverted old monastery, and several country estates dating from the 16th to the 18th centuries. I absolutely loved this experience and am so very grateful to have been able to enjoy it with family and friends (old and new!). Nico and Zoe were fantastic.  They really made this tour for us and I can honestly say they are assets to Fresco.  Many people on our tour wanted to know if it is possible to request our guides for any future tours we might consider!

I booked a 200km “Fresco Start” tour on the French Way starting in Ponferrada. Well thought out stages and excellent hotel selections (some in locations with very limited options). Daily maps were clear, showing recommended left/right options and elevation changes.

We enjoyed an 11 day guided tour with Fresco Tours on the 115km Sarria to Santiago de Compostela Camino in May 2025. We had a wonderful time as our guides were knowledgeable, professional and entertaining! The food was amazing and our hotels were lovely! We are already looking forward to completing another Camino with Fresco Tours on the future!
