Our Kinder Camino Portugues tour with Fresco was top notch. Our guides David and Ana went above and beyond to make sure we had a great Camino experience.

Alissa from Fresco Tours did a fantastic job all the way through the preparation period which extended to nearly 3 years due to the pandemic! She was very friendly and helpful at all times and the advance information supplied was excellent.
We really enjoyed taking the beautiful and interesting Portuguese Coastal Route and would highly recommend both it and Fresco Tours. If you are thinking of doing the Camino, do plenty of walking beforehand with your backpack packed as it would be during the Camino and you should be well able for it . It really is worth doing and the experience of a lifetime.

We just returned from our trip to Europe which included seven days/nights walking the Camino Portugues. It was a fantastic experience from day 1 until we finished in Santiago de Compostela. The accommodations were great and the guidance provided by Sandra in Tui was extremely helpful and informative. Every moment and detail of our Camino was outstanding thanks to Fresco Tours! I highly recommend this excellent company. We will cherish our Camino always with the most grateful hearts. We chose a self-guided tour beginning in Sarria. From the moment we booked this tour to our arrival in Santiago, the staff of Fresco Tours ensured we would thoroughly enjoy every step of our journey. The hotels were top of the line – we could not have been any happier. The restaurant recommendations were excellent, and the daily maps were a great resource and guided our journey. Our orientation meeting and dinner with David were beyond WONDERFUL! David was an amazing host – truly inspirational. It was THE perfect way to begin our Way. I cannot say enough praise for Elba – she was our Fresco Tours angel. For so many months she supported and guided our trip (even when she was supposed to be on her holidays!). She and David are truly incredible, and awesome representatives of this great tour company. One word to sum up our experience with Fresco Tours: MAGNIFICENT!

It was a wonderful time for my wife and me, being with our two grandkids. We had an awesome journey walking on the Camino!! Everything was just perfect. Our grandkids loved the Camino experience. They walked mostly with themselves as I wanted this to be “their Camino”. We usually connected for a cup of coffee and lunch. They walked faster than me, so when they stopped, they would just look for me to catch up. They had a beautiful time meeting others along the way, following the yellow arrows and absorbing so much. They both said they want to return to the Camino someday (who doesn’t!!). Our time with Ana in Sarria was great and the Fresco dinner in Sarria was awesome.

We did the 200 km self-guided “A Fresco Start” tour. Communication with Elba and the Fresco office was excellent and well organized. Our guides on the first night and last day were great and they provided us all the information we needed to walk the Camino. The hotels they booked were generally very good and all included breakfast. They also provided luggage transport.

I think this is a great middle ground for people who want a little help on logistics on the Camino (who don’t want to go fully self-sufficient), but who don’t need a guided tour (which is probably unnecessary on the Camino for most). Highly recommend.

Just to say a huge thank you for everything! All the behind-the-scenes things were perfect – hotels / baggage transfer for our Camino and all the information and help you gave was very much appreciated – fantastic!

Love Camino life – now need to do from St Jean to Ponferrada to complete the Frances and then on to more!!
