Because life is full of wonderful twists and turns, here’s the story of Fresco Tours, a Spanish tour operator specialised in Camino de Santiago tours, which was founded in 2006 by Arizona-born Alex Chang.
Since 2006 we have grown, and can also proudly say we have led tours every single year since then (yes, even in 2020!). What started as a one-man-band who happily led 23 pilgrims to Compostela, is now a consolidated company with a full-time pool of 12 expert Camino guides, an office in Bilbao and more than 880 clients in 2022.
Like every success story, the Fresco Tours story is thanks to hard work, a shared goal, and the commitment of an outstanding team. By working exclusively with local businesses, we’ve also gained the respect of the communities where we walk. We know we’re on track when a local refers to Fresco with a smile and kind words.
Although we have expanded, some things have not changed. We are still a family-run business that prefers first names and a personal touch. Indeed, this is what makes us different from other tour operators in Spain – what we call theFresco Tours Experience.
