Welcome to your Fresco Start 200km on the Camino de Santiago with Fresco Tours! To begin the journey you will be greeted by your Fresco Tours guide in Ponferrada, who will prepare you with everything you need to embark on a self-guided walk on the Camino de Santiago. Not only will you receive a welcome packet filled with goodies such as your Pilgrims Passport, scallop shell, and information about the Camino, we will give you expert tips and recommendations for along the way.
We recognize how daunting it can be to arrive in a new country and begin a journey on your own, but we are here for you, at our Welcome Meeting and once you have started walking! After the introductory meeting your Fresco Tours guide will take you out to a local dinner in Ponferrada to introduce you to the local cuisine and continue to answer your questions over a glass of tinto. After dinner you will get your first stamp in your Pilgrims Passport, one of many to come!
