Hi Alex: Thanks again for a wonderfully organized and escorted tour. I have been telling all who will listen that it really was an exceptional tour wonderful planning and wonderful guides in Jason and Mayte, plus the joy of seeing Pepes smiling face every morning. We loved your choices of accommodations and the emphasis on locally produced food and wine was perfect. Our tasting meal at Marcelos was also exceptional a real treat at the end of the trip. Originally when we had planned the trip we thought we might try for a reservation at El Bulli, near Barcelona nominated the best restaurant in the world by a food magazine, as a treat at the end of the journey. That plan did not work out but after we waddled out of Marcelo’s we felt like we had found our own El Bulli minus the crowds and no doubt minus the pretension! We are sorry we did not have a chance to spend more time with you but I do have the Basque tour tucked away in a corner of my mind for the future.
