We just completed our Kinder and Gentler Camiño with our guide Miguel and it was a fabulous trip. I have to admit that when we were planning this trip with another couple, I was not convinced it was a smart thing to do at the end of July. But Miguel made it all work beautifully! He gave us directions for the next day, helped make sure we didn’t get lost, and tailored the walk each day to make sure we were done before the major heat of the day kicked in.
The food on our walk was amazing. Every day Miguel made a delicious picnic lunch for us and made sure we had our favorite drinks. And every night we ate (too much) at gourmet restaurants. Sad to say I think I gained weight on this trip.
I am not religious, but this became a very spiritual journey, waking up every day and accomplishing the walk. Much of the credit goes to Miguel. We were so lucky to have him as our guide.
