I cannot imagine using any other outfit if you are planning a Camino or Spain experience.
We just completed the Kinder Portuguese Camino with our incomparable guide Miguel. There were just four in our group, which added to the special nature of the walk. It’s a beautiful route, yes, with hills, but Miguel planned the stages perfectly, both in terms of terrain and to avoid the hottest hours of the day. Miguel was truly a genius at preparing the most delicious and healthy lunches, which we looked forward to the entire morning of walking. He topped himself every day, including ice cream on the last day. The walkers who passed our lunch spot looked on with obvious envy at the bounty Miguel laid out on the table.
Miguel then arranged custom dinners with chefs in the towns we stayed in, which were meals of incredible variety, quality and taste. For all the walking I did, don’t think I lost a pound. We even stayed in a 16th Century Manor House with spectacular views of mountains and vineyards which was very special. And in each stop, he planned a tour of the local historical or religious sites, before settling into another fantastic dinner.
Miguel went above and beyond in making certain everyone’s needs and expectations were met and on top of that, he is a wonderful man, funny, smart, knowledgeable and became our friend on Day 1. This was our second Fresco experience and I cannot imagine using any other outfit if you are planning a Camino or Spain experience. Everything is first class from transportation, hotels, meals and tours. For us, Fresco has been a guaranteed “Buen Camino” experience. Gracias Fresco y Muchisimas Gracias por todo, Miguel.
